With a new committee elected for the upcoming season, there are many exciting new ideas for the area! We now also have more teams in the league than ever before, with the creation of both the University of Warwick and Birmingham Panthers Korfball Clubs plus some other teams from older clubs entering for the first time.

After an exciting an competitive day of korfball, the West Midlands Squad did our area proud by finishing 3rd at the Home Nations tournament. This yearly tournament hosts the 4 countris of Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England, along with a British Student team and the 3 qualifiers from the Inter Area. Continue reading

West Midlands Squad Finish 3rd at the recent Senior Inter Area competition. After topping their group the team led by 3 at half time in the semi finals against hot favourites East Midlands. However a strong 2nd half from the very experienced East Midlands time pushed past West Midlands to take the position in the final. Continue reading
A new school in Coventry has started up recently, hiring a set of posts from the West Midlands Korfball Association for a year. Finham Park School in Coventry had their first taster session last week which went down really well. Matt Amos, the head of PE at the school was looking to introduce new sports into the curriculum to keep the kids entertained and to widen the range of sports on offer. Continue reading

The popular Edinburgh tournament was also held this weekend with Birmingham City finishing in 5th, and Birmingham university ending in 13th. Great results for two of the West Midlands teams.
